Sindh CM directs police not to ‘humiliate’ citizens while enforcing lockdown

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed police not to “insult or humiliate” citizens while enforcing the lockdown announced by the government.

“You have to politely inform the visitors to return to their homes and in case of resistance action must be taken, otherwise the dignity of any person, including children, should not be hurt,” he was quoted as saying in a statement.

Sindh Police chief Mushtaq Mahar informed the chief minister that shopkeepers were asked to close their businesses by 5pm starting today and everything in this regard is “moving smoothly”.
